Well, we are now married and have returned from our breif honeymoon. It was very nice. We stayed at the lovely Tudor House guest house and had a lovely time in Shrewsbury. Being married doesn't feel any different from before. We haven't changed by being married, not that we were expecting to, and there really isn't any novelty of it. Well, there is some novelty to calling each other 'husband' an 'wife' and 'Mrs. Sutton' but I am sure that that will wear off eventually.
Now I need to get my last name changed on everything and a new passport and a new Visa if they will let me. Right, more on things later.

Hen party, and finishing touches
The dress is now in for alterations which should be finished on Andy's birthday. We have sorted out the cake and the flowers. We also went in for an inital session with the photographers. They will do an excellent job with the photography. We had some 'engagement' pictures taken and they look wonderful. She managed to capture the smile that made me fall in love with Andy.
The honeymoon is also booked and we couldn't have picked a better time to go to Shrewsbury. They have the start of their summer fair on the day we arrive. So there should be lots to see and do. After that we will be off to Stratford for a stay in a cottage and to see some Shakespeare. We're both looking forward to it.
My Hen party is also sorted, or so my bridesmaids tell me. I have no idea what they are planning, but I am sure it will be good.
In the meantime, back to mundane life and PhDing.

Registry Office
I know we haven't posted on here in a while, but not much new has been happening. Mundane life called for a while. But to bring everyone up to date. My dress is ready, I just need to have a few more alterations done. I had an inital appointment with the hairdresser and makeup lady who will be making me look pretty for the day. I really like what they are going to be doing with my hair. I also don't like mascara. Food has also been chosen.
Today we went to the registry office in Middlesborough and they will issue our marriage certificate in about a week, after our names have been displayed. That way it satisfies the 'If anyone has any reason that these two should not marry declair it now' thing.
Tomorrow we will visit the photographer and discuss with them about the style of photography that we want and also pay for it.
So we're almost there.

New list, menu
Well, we are going for another meeting with the castle on Wednesday to sort out the menu and plan for the day. Once we have the menu finalized we will post it on the wedding site. We've also added a link to our new Amazon.co.uk Wedding List. I've been browsing Amazon and noticed that some of the more expensive things they have avalible at a lower price than Argos. So I figure why not just link to them, that way it would save people having to search for the best price for things. And of course they have books. I couldn't resist looking at the books.
Other than that we are getting a steady trickle of replies back. Some people can come, others can't, it is to be expected. Anyway, more will be posted later on things when more things happen. In the meantime Andy and I have pretty much forgotten that we are planning a wedding and are more focused on getting our respective studies finished. Which is as we wanted it. So all is going according to plan.... so far.

Finished! (Almost)
The dress is sorted and all that needs to be done is wait till it comes and then get it fitted. We have the rings, which look lovely. All the invitations have been sent. We have also talked with the florest, finally. We've got a estimate for how much the flowers will be, and I have to say that they are rather expensive. With the most expensive things being my bouquet. Besides which, what on earth are we going to do with all the flowers when we're done with them? I suspose we could hand them out to guests. That could take the place of the wedding favours. We could then use the favours we have already for the celebration in the US. That's not a bad idea. Ah well, at least everything is coming together finally. The main thing now is to sort out the flowers.
